The supplier of high-precision measurement and control technology focusses on the sale as well as the repair and calibration of its comprehensive portfolio of test and inspection equipment.
The company, which has been associated with COSIB since 2016, decided to migrate its SAP Business One environment (OnPremise) to a private cloud - including HANA 2.0, SAP HANA Analytics and Crystal Reports.
After project approval by customer team, COSIB performed a full test migration and subsequent live migration to the private cloud in the following steps:
- Update the existing SAP Business One version to the current patch level.
- Migrate and update databases to the private cloud test system.
- Cleanup of alarm and error messages.
- Transfer and configuration of relevant customizings and B1i framework flows.
- Import of document package and all custom fields.
- Customer acceptance of the complete test migration.
- Real migration to the new private cloud environment.
Successful, on-time migration
"The preparation of the migration in the test phase went according to plan and very professionally, so that our day-to-day business could continue largely unaffected," explains the customer's project manager. The subsequent live migration therefore proceeded without any major challenges and was completed in full within the planned timeframe. "The time factor was particularly important to us and further confirmed our positive assessment of the work of the entire COSIB team."
